If you are supporting a family member or friend with dementia, it is likely that you will experience challenges. You may feel sad, frustrated, resentful or feel guilt, grief or anger. Perhaps you are dealing with a family member’s recent diagnosis and struggling to come to terms with this, or observing behaviours that you are finding difficult to manage, or you are wondering how to keep going, or how to find support so you can take a break, or perhaps you are contemplating full-time care for your person.
I work exclusively with people in this situation because of my own experience as a dementia caregiver with the associated emotional rollercoaster. I offer an opportunity for you to share your experiences with someone who understands. I'll support you in finding ways to manage your situation and build a more hopeful future.
I look forward to meeting you and hearing about your unique situation and challenges.
